July 23— #CampNaNoOrNot20 asks about our favourite genre. As writers we‘re very much into the classical whodunnit type of mysteries, usually without any even remotely supernatural element to it, though we like our stories to *appear* like there might be something going on that cannot be explained by science alone. Yet, it‘s not so straightforward to name the genre that our novels — especially the Peter Conrad Mysteries — belong to, as our ‚detectives‘ are not professionals at all but scientists. Also, we don‘t tend to get particularly bloody or gruesome in our descriptions, as we’re mostly interested in and focussing on the puzzle that the case presents. Does that make our stories ‚Cozy Crime‘? We don‘t know 😅 Our debut was most likely a sort of conspiracy thriller, we suppose. Still, there is comparatively little bloodshed, though plenty of action. Maybe it‘s a Cold War conspiracy adventure? You see, this is not easy at all! . As readers we‘re pretty flexible. We read or used to read most genres except for clear-cut romance. . ✖️ #StillerStiller #StillerBooks #CampNaNoOrNot20 #genre #indie #1980s #mystery #cozycrime #thriller #hardtoplace #inbetween #storylove #amwriting #writingcommunity #ColdWarFiction #whodunnit #crimefiction #literature #anderslesen #Krimi #challenge✖️ @juliascottwrites ✖️ @btleditorial ✖️
